Each day I serve as your U.S. Congressional representative, I will be working to provide solutions for the residents of TX32 and all of Texas.

Issues

Pro Choice

Trust Women! A woman must be able to make her own healthcare decisions. She might want to discuss with her doctor, family, clergy member, or others. But she does NOT need her elected representatives to be involved.

Immigration

Wherever you go, businesses are short of staff. At the same time, people are at our borders, desperate to work to make a better life for their families. Screen and send back anyone who is a threat to the U.S. Otherwise, let’s match immigrants with the jobs that so badly need people to do them. We’ll all be better off!

Gun Safety

Universal background checks, red flag laws, and higher age requirements should be the minimum. We need to ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. We deserve to feel safe in our daily lives.

Social Security

It’s a safety net lifting 14.7 million elderly Americans out of poverty. Benefits are earned through a lifetime of work. While life expectancy has increased, the very people who are most dependent on Social Security benefits are also more likely to be working in occupations that make it difficult to continue working into their later years. Increasing the retirement age is not the answer. Raising or eliminating the wage cap for the Social Security tax, as has been done for the Medicare tax, is what I would support.

Climate Change

Constant record-breaking weather events should surely wake us up to the fact that we need to make changes – NOW. Let’s work to switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, as completely and as quickly as possible. There is No Planet B. Our clean energy revolution will provide millions of good jobs.

Our Economy

Our economy must be built from the bottom up and the middle out, not from the top down. With such an abundance of wealth in our world, there is no reason for so many people to be barely able to survive. For too long, laws have served to increase prosperity for those already doing well, at the expense of those who are not. We All Do Better When We ALL Do Better.
